Early Intervention Program (EIP)

The Early Intervention Program serves children and their families from birth to school entry.   Staff work with families who may have questions or concerns about heir child’s development, or whose child has an identified developmental delay or disability.  Our work may include:

The Family Service Coordinator, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapist and Speech-Language Therapist work as a team to provide help and support to children and their families.  When we meet you, we will spend time getting to know your child's strengths and needs through playing with them, and will talk to you about your questions or concerns.

We work together with the Infant Development ProgramTeam at the CDC.  With your consent, we can also work with other members of the community who are involved in your child’s life, such as Supported Child Development Consultants, Doctors, Nurses, Day-care providers, Pre-school staff, etc.

Parents can refer their child directly to the Early Intervention Program.  If you wish to make a referral, please complete our Referral Form.
