WELCOME TO THE BULKLEY VALLEY CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTRE
Bike Camp 2016-------- A Success!
The BC Child Development Centres 3rd Annual Bike Camp: Was held in Houston and Smithers from July 4th to July 7th. Bike Camp is designed for children ages 5-12 who require extra support in learning to ride a bike. Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Therapy Assistants, Support Workers, Bulkley Valley CDC staff, and community volunteers support the children one-to-one to develop their skills to ride. We had 14 participants this year and 6 of those children children progressed from run bikes to independent pedaling and everyone increased their skills! The Houston and Smithers RCMP and the Bulkley Valley Brain Injury Association also came out to both communities to teach the riders some safety tips! It was a great week!!
The Bulkley Valley Child Development Centre would like to send a big THANK-YOU to our sponsors who made Bike 2016 a huge success!!
