Dear Families, Community Members and Stakeholders,

On October 13th, 2020 the Bulkley Valley Child Development Centre Society’s Members passed a special resolution to legally change our name to Northwest Child Development Centre Society effective immediately.

As a Society we have been honored with our current name for many years. We have grown to include programs and services to over 30 communities within Northwest B.C. We have community-based locations in the Hazeltons, Burns Lake, Vanderhoof, and partnership sites in Fort St. James and Houston with our Regional office in Smithers. Our Staff live in these communities as well. Our outreach model to our northern rural communities has been recognized as a strength from our local, regional and provincial funders as well as highlighted through our Accreditation Surveys. In response to community feedback and in alignment with our vision, mission, and beliefs our new name respects the region we serve.

We will be launching our new social media sites in the next two weeks.

Thank you for your support as we move forward together with this next step… building on the past to provide services to children and families in the future.

If you have any questions, please contact me at director@bvcdc.ca  as well as 250-847-4122 – extension #1121.
